Deadline nears for USRA early registration pricing

February 29, 2020 is going to be a day to remember. Not only is it a bonus day for this Leap Year but it is also Bachelor’s Day, Repetitive Strain Injury Awareness Day and International Sword Swallowers Day, just to name a few.

It is also the day that USRA license fees increase by $20 so go online or call to get yours today (or at least no later than February 29).

All competitors at a USRA-sanctioned event must possess either a USRA Competitor License or USRA Temporary License prior to participating in the event.

USRA Competitor Licenses must be purchased online at usraracing.com/register or by calling (515) 832-6000.

Alternatively, drivers may purchase a temp license at the racetrack on race day for $10 which is valid for one (1) event only.

The cost of a USRA Competitor License is $130 for Modifieds, $110 for Stock Cars, $110 for Late Models, $100 for B-Mods, $100 for Hobby Stocks, $100 for Factory Stocks, $100 for Limited Mods and $60 for Tuners.

All licenses fees will increase by $20 beginning March 1.

Drivers competing in a USRA-sanctioned events are eligible to earn track, regional and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series from January 1 through the first week of November.

To be eligible for national points funds, a driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at any one USRA-sanctioned racetrack (minimum of 8 events with a minimum of 4 starts).

To be eligible for track points funds, driver must have competed in at least half of the events held at that racetrack for which the points funds are being awarded.

During the Summit USRA Nationals (October 1-3) and Summit USRA Southern Nationals (November 5-7), track and regional points will not be awarded for the divisions competing in those events, and national points will be awarded at those events only.
