Mother Nature washes out Kaster Celebration Night at I-35 Speedway

The heat races where completed and a huge contingent of Kaster family members from across the country shared racing memories, hugged, took pictures and talked about Larry Kaster on Saturday night at the I-35 Speedway.

Everyone was ready for another exciting action-packed thrill ride for the features.

Everyone, that is, except Mother Nature.

The winds were picking up dramatically and radar indicted the same. With impending heavy rain and continued lightning, track officials ended the night’s racing program for safety concerns with features still remaining to be made up in the near future. An announcement is coming soon as to a specific date and time.

Next Saturday, July 27, I-35 Speedway will host Tompkins Industries Night and the annual Asphalt Racers Reunion featuring the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series with USRA Modifieds, American Racer USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, as well as E-Mods, Pure Stocks, Limited Late Models, Sport Compacts and a special visit by the Show-Me Vintage Racers.
