Weather turns B-Mod Clash of Champions into Saturday-only show at Lucas Oil Speedway

After an all-out effort to prepare the track after a steady rain, Friday's portion of the inaugural B-Mod Clash of Champions and 5th annual MLRA Fall Nationals at the Lucas Oil Speedway was postponed.

That means the two-day program will become a one-day event on Saturday.

Gates will open at 2 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 4:30 and opening ceremonies followed by racing at 5. That is two hours earlier than originally scheduled.

The Lucas Oil Speedway track crew had the dirt oval in condition for hot laps when another round of heavy drizzle moved into the area around 8 p.m. on Friday.

Fans who purchased tickets to Friday's action will be able to use those toward admission on Saturday.

Winner of the B-Mod Clash of Champions feature will earn $3,000. A total of 66 Out-Pace USRA B-Mods were checked into the pits. Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points will be awarded.

Lucas Oil Speedway is located at Highways 83 and 54 in Wheatland, Missouri. A campground with shower and bathroom facilities is also available. With its entrance located just outside the pit gate this sprawling scenic camping facility will continue to enhance the racing experience at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks.
