Chateau Speedway Autumn Extravaganza details announced

Chateau Speedway, in the middle of a two-week break from racing, is still busy working on the plans for the inaugural Autumn Extravaganza coming up Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29. Friday race time will be the normal 7:15 with the Saturday show getting underway at 6 p.m.

Practice will be held Thursday from 6 -9 p.m. for a flat fee of $30 per car which covers admission for car, driver and pit crew.

The track will be hosting USRA Modifieds and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods plus five other classes of cars each night with two complete shows featurng heats and features with a full purse paid each night. There will also be a third purse for the top 10 drivers in each class with points totals from the two nights tabulated to set the top 10 drivers in each class for Saturday.

The USRA Modified entry fee will be $30 with a $20 entry fee for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods. Drivers can save $5 by purchasing a two-day pit pass. Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points will be awarded in both divisions.

Grandstand tickets will be $15 each night, but fans can also save $5 by purchasing a two-night pass. The student pricing for 6- to 12-year-olds will still be $5 a night and children under 5 remain free.

Among the activities for the weekend will be music Friday night provided by Remedy Music with Jason and Christy Augustine providing the DJ service starting after the conclusion of the last race. On Saturday at noon will be the inaugural Corn Hole Bean Bag Tournament with a $300 top prize.
