Friday night’s Iron Man Challenge event at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, was rained out just after completion of the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod heats and just four laps into the make-up feature from the rained-out June 1 Holley USRA Stock Car feature.

The 10th Annual Coral Lanes Rapid Rumble has been postponed to next Thursday, Aug. 30. The program will feature a complete show of USMTS Modifieds and the Iron Man Challenge featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, plus the Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks. Action will kick off with the make-up feature for the Iron Man Stock Cars that was rained out June 1 and again Friday night.

So the bags are packed, the race cars are loaded up and the action moves to the Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, S.D., on Saturday where the Iron Man Challenge featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars presented by Medieval Chassis and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods presented by Pace Performance will join the USMTS and 360 Winged Sprint Cars.

Extra money has been added to the Stock Car purse in memory of Dave Mulder with $1,000 to win and $125 to start. The track will be also be offering an additional $104 to the top finishing Stock Car that finished in the top 10 during the 2018 season at Park Jeff.

Pits open at 4 p.m. and spectator gates open at 5 with hot laps at 6:20 and racing to follow. Tickets are $19 in advance or $25 on race day for adults. Seniors ages 70 and up are $17 in advance or $23 at the gate. Kids ages 6-16 are $5 in advance or $10 day of show. Children ages 5 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $40.
