Springfield Raceway ready For More USRA Summit Racing Series action

The "Quick-Quarter" of The Springfield Raceway is ready for more door to door Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series action Saturday night with the high-horsepower of the USRA Modifieds and always action-packed Out-Pace USRA B-Mod action along with a special $300 to win Pure Stock feature honoring Ozarks Legend Junior Bohnstedt where you can bring your home track rules to race in. Action will also feature the Midwest Modz and Legend Cars.

Last week, hard-charging Jim Body took his first win of the season by jumping to the opening lead and hitting a perfect stride in the USRA Modified feature. Body has been close all season, but found the winning setup Saturday night. Jody Tillman of Branson West holds the top spot in the track points standing and will be looking for his fifth win of the season over a very talented field of drivers.

Jackie Dalton of Carthage still sets on top of the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and his coming off a runner-up finish to defending national champion Ryan" The Kid" Gilmore. Both drivers drew a tough heat race and were looking to have to race through a last chance race, but a late race crash vaulted Gilmore and Dalton to the main event in which veteran Rex Merritt looked to have a win in his sight until a mid-race caution closed the gap.

Racing action starts at 7:45 p.m. with the pits opening at 5. Hot laps are slated for 7:15 with draw cut-off at 6:50 for the track where racing never disappoints and leaves you wanting more.
