USRA action hitting home stetch at Lebanon Midway

The chase for a track championship in the Spring/Summer Series is hitting the homestretch drive this Friday night at The Lebanon Midway Speedway.

With only three races left, The race for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod title is still up for grabs as Sam Petty of Niangua has taken back the top spot with Lebanon's Tyler Knudtson right in his tire tracks. Petty has been back and forth with Jackson for the top spot and both drivers are ranked in the top 10 in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national standings.

Heading into the action Friday night, Petty holds the advantage over Knudtson by only 61 points with current national leader Kris Jackson in 91 points behind. With three scheduled events left, it is still anyone's title to win. Meanwhile a dog fight is for fourth place and beyond as Brian Myers holds a steady fourth place with rookie Rich Reynolds rounding out the top 5.

This week will feature added money for the Bomber class with the winner receiving $250 to win with the runner-up taking home $150. Action also includes The Midwest Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Hornets, Street Stocks with racing action to start at 8PM.

The Spring/Summer Midway season is slated to conclude on Friday, Aug. 3, and then the circle track program will take a break and resume on Saturday nights starting Saturday, Sept. 8, with the running of the 2nd annual Bud Perry Memorial as the Cash Money Super Late Model Series rolls into the 1/3-mile dirt oval. Action will also feature Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, who will receive Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points, Midwest Modifieds, Hornets, Pure Stocks and the Gateway Vintage Racing Association as drivers will be racing for added contingencies.

Lebanon Midway is located 6 miles East of Lebanon on Highway 32 and B Highway.

So fat this Spring/Summer Series over 170 different drivers competing and 50 different Out-Pace USRA B-Mod entries.
