Springfield Raceway hosts Military Appreciation Night this Saturday

Springfield Raceway will host its annual Military Appreciation Night this Saturday, May 12.

Pit gates will open at 3:30, grandstands will open at 5,  hot laps start at 6 and racing begins at 6:30.

As a tribute to the armed services and their sacrifices, the Springfield Raceway is proud to offer free admission to current active duty servicemembers and veterans with i.d.

The Heartland Canines for Veterans team will have a booth on-site, selling T-Shirts, 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets for a handmade afghan crocheted by a local veteran. We'll have a couple of our service dog trainees there as well and, as always, there will be several members of the Heartland Canines for Veterans team available to answer questions about the organization and their mission.

Action includes the high-horsepower of the USRA Modifieds and Out Pace USRA B-Modsifieds, plus Pure Stocks, INEX Missouri Dirt Legends Cars and Midwest Modz along with a special apperance of the exciting Sharp Mini Late Models on the "Quick-Quarter" of the high-banked clay oval.
