Briggs takes home North Central Arkansas Speedway feature win

North Central Arkansas Speedway returned to action Friday with humid air that turned to possibly threatening conditions by intermission, but the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature race closed out the night with a hard-fought race for the win.

John Briggs and Cody Acklin held down the front row to get the race underway and Briggs held a narrow advantage over Kandy Methvin as the first lap was recorded.

Methvin pressured Briggs all around the speedway all race long, pulling alongside the leader on both the high and low lanes on the track, and several times showering sparks down the front straight after contact with the front-stretch wall.

Briggs withstood the many challenges throughout the race and took home the feature win.

Racing action continues Friday night ,July 21. North Central Arkansas Speedway is located between Yellville and Flippin on Hwy. 62-412. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and those with a military ID, $5 for those ages 7 through 15 with 6 and under getting in free.
