Colorbio, Rush roll at Western Tech Speedway Park

EL PASO, Texas—It was a wild show Friday at the Western Tech Speedway Park.

The Holley USRA Stock Cars would do 15 laps of battle tonight as well with the finish going all the way down to the wire tonight. The 11 of Cliff Everage would lead the opening laps but 44Jt of Jaime Torres was all over him quickly. Only 3 laps complete and the 44JT jumping into the lead into turn 3 as he drives under the 11. Torres would try to pull away but not for long because the 13 of Victor Colorbio would make quick work of the 11 and head straight for the lead. With 5 complete and 10 to go the 13 was there to challenge for the lead. Torres and Colorbio would go back and forth for the next 5 laps with Torres holding every time at the stripe but 5 to go and the 44JT high in turn 4! The door wide open for the 13 and Colorbio takes it right away. A late race caution would shake things up just enough as the 13 tried to escape the clutches of the 44Jt but ultimately the caution would have no effect because when the checkered flag waved it was the 13 of Victor Colorbio taking yet another big win in the Holley USRA Stock Cars. The 29 of Ted Cain would slide his way into second after the 44Tj had trouble on the restart and it was Jaime Torres rounding out the podium in 44JT.

Out-Pace USRA B-Mods also going to have 20 laps tonight as this one got wild quick. The front row would spin out on the first two attempts at a start but the 612 of Jose Saenz finally getting a lap complete as the leader. The 52tx of Paddy Rush would be all over the 612 quickly in this one and it didn’t take long before Rush looked low and stole the show. With 5 complete and 15 to go Paddy Rush now with a clear track up front. The real battle would take place at third place as they went three wide for third! The 47 holding off the 9 of Jimmy Ray for now. Halfway there and halfway home the 9 all over the 612 for second and finally making it stick. The 9 would head straight for the bumper of the 52tx in the next 3 laps but the 07 of Donovan Flores moving into third and headed straight for the 9 would keep things interesting. Only 5 laps left on the clock and the 9 was closing fast on the 52tx but it didn’t seem like it would be fast enough. The 7c of John Carney sr would also slide back into 3rd around the 07. The 52tx would catch lapped cars with 2 to go but it wouldn’t matter for him as he cut the field and used it to perfection. At the line it was the 52tx of Paddy Rush showing them how it’s done in the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and taking the win. The 9 of Jammin Jimmy Ray charging to second tonight and the 7c of Carney slips his way back into the top 3.

Paddy Rush won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature.
