Torres, Ray winners at Western Tech Speedway Park

EL PASO, Texas—Friday night at Western Tech Speedway Park was a spectacular show featuring the Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods. A little rain during the early heat races added a lot of moisture to a track that had already been drowned during the day, but the storm subsided and the track was rolled back into prime condition.

A ton of action was crammed into 12 laps for the Holley USRA Stock Cars. Jaime Torres led early on and held off points leader Jason Josselyn while Ted Cain held on to a solid third in this fast class.

A big car count in the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods gave them 20 laps and it was a good one all the way to the end. Hector Prigione led early but Donovan Flores went low on lap five and shot underneath Prigione for the lead at the line. Flores pulled away slightly for the next five laps but Jimmy Ray was working his way into second and not stopping there. with six laps to go, Ray beat Flores to the line and pulled away from there. John Carney Sr. came home third.

Some great racing tonight, and if you missed it then we suggest you don’t make the same mistake two weekends in a row! Racing starts at 7:45 but gates open at 5:30 so don’t be late and make sure to bring your friends.
