Gallardo, Chavez top MVT Night at Southern New Mexico Speedway

LAS CRUCES, N.M.—It was MVT Night at the Southern New Mexico Speedway on Saturday and the fireworks where incredible. Not only the fireworks in the sky. but the ones on the track as well.

The USRA Stock Cars had 20 laps with Javie Chavez leading from start to finish. Lloyd Turner couldn’t quite get there tonight and second had to do while Kyle McCutcheon finished third.

Jake Gallardo started on the pole of the USRA Modified and led early but not without company as Donovan Flores and Royal Jones were hot on his trail. Nonetheless, the defending USRA national champion went flag to flag with almost no opposition. Jones was on another charge tonight and brought it across the line in second. Bumper Jones squeezed back into the top three.

Join us right back here at the Southern New Mexico Speedway next Friday night, July 1. Gates will open at 5:30 with racing starting at 7:45.
