Schniepp snags first USRA Modified win at Humboldt


HUMBOLDT, Kan.—With mild temperatures and abundant moisture, Humboldt Speedway saw tight racing on the 3/8-mile oval this Friday evening.

In McCarthy Auto Group USRA Modified action, Wichita driver Cody Schniepp fended off fellow Wichita area driver Tad Davis for a hard fought victory. This was Schniepp's first visit to victory lane at Humboldt Speedway which was celebrated by his family and fans.

In Ray's Metal Depot USRA B Mod action, Fort Scott veteran Randy Zimmerman took his No. Z28 to the checkers, out-dueling fellow Fort Scott driver Jerry Morgan for the win.

Next week at the Humboldt Speedway is the Whitworth Memorial $2,000 to win USRA B Mod special. USRA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks and Sport Compacts will also be racing. Admission for this event is $14 for adults or $5 for children 5-12. Pit passes will be $30.
