Flores, Torres victorious at Southern New Mexico Speedway

USRA Modifieds the feature Saturday night at the Southern New Mexico Speedway but first up were the Holley USRA Stock Cars with 14 cars going 20 laps.

Jaime Torres held it together and led the lap that mattered to make it a clean sweep of the weekend after winning in El Paso on Friday night. Martin Robinson was second and Lloyd Turner drove all the way back to third from the rear.

With 25 laps on the clock, the USRA Modified feature was a nail-biter. Donovan Flores took the lead midway through the race and never looked back. Rocko Gallardo brought home second and Duane Murphy had a strong finish in third.

Next Saturday, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods join the Holley USRA Stock Cars. Gates open at 5:30 and racing starts at 7:45.
