I-35 Speedway staff ready to race in 2016

WINSTON, Mo.—As the racing season draws near with practice at the I-35 Speedway on Saturday, March 12, and USMTS racing Sunday, March 20, there is no time to spare preparing. With a track worker meeting comes answers to questions that need to be passed on to drivers and crew members.

A few of the important changes are as follows:

  • All race cars will be pre-teched for safety prior to racing.
  • All four-wheelers, ATVs, golf carts, mopeds, mini-bikes and modes of transportation in the pits must be registered at the pit shack. There will be no charge for the vehicle, but they must register and drive responsibly.
  • We ask that all race cars please drive slow and careful in the pit area, and when exiting the race track for safety reasons.
  • Reminding drivers to stay in their car until safety workers arrive on scene.
  • We remind everyone to stay back when there is an incident on track as fuel could have spilled and no one is allowed on track so safety workers can do their job.
  • Head and neck restraints are required and must be in compliance by July 1.

These are a few of the changes. For questions on track rules contact Carl Flower or Bobby Lopez, and general questions on track operations can find contct information on our website at www.i35speedway.net.

Let’s get ready for a great 2016 racing season!
