Flores blows his top, gets first USRA Modified win in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas—Wild and reckless is a great description of Friday night's action at the El Paso Speedway Park as the USRA Modifieds went Topless for the fans. Fortunately, the cars where raging and the drivers where ready with more than 60 drivers on hand.

The USRA Modifieds definitely did not disappoint as Donavon Flores picked up his very first win in a USRA Modified, and he the 2013 USRA Stock Car National Champion did it by holding off last year's USRA Modified National Champion, Fito Gallardo, for most of the race.

Robert Adams got by Gallardo to claim the runner-up spot, with Austin Adams and Duane Murphy rounding out the top five.

The USRA Stock Cars were up next. Robert Vega made it interesting throughout and came away victorious at the wave of the checkered flag.

Ted Cain came in a close second while Todd Froats crossed the finish line in just behind the leaders to finish third.

Jesus Chacon Jr. and Ed Engel finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

If you missed us tonight, we go racing again next Friday, July 24, at the El Paso Speedway Park with USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods on the card. Gates open at 5:30 and racing starts at 7:45.
