Georges makes triumphant return at El Paso Speedway Park

EL PASO, Texas -- The season finale at the El Paso Speedway Park Friday night for the USRA Modifieds and USRA Stock Cars was a muddy blast.

The USRA Stock Car feature was owned by Brandon Cruse, who dominated the caution-free main event from flag to flag. USRA Stock Car national points leader Justin Lasiter finished second, followed by Mike Medina, Robert Vega and Oscar Kimpel.

Jon McDaniel is your 2014 USRA Stock Car track champion.

Drivers and fans welcome back Christy Georges after being out of the race car for four months following neck surgery, and she made a triumphant return by winning her heat race and dominating the USRA Modified main event, leading from start to finish.

To garner the points title, Fito Gallardo needed all 18 cars to start and Royal Jones to be the first one out, and then win. Rocko Gallardo didn't start the main event, so automatically the 2014 track championship for the USRA Modifieds went to Jones.

Gallardo was second in the main event while Jones finished third. Fourth went to 11th-starting Chad Falco and Lee Heiligenthal rounded out the top five.

A great season in the history books at the El Paso Speedway Park, and the fun is about to begin. Hope to see you all at the 2nd annual West Texas Shootout, the Lucas Oil ASCS 360 National Tour and the Turkey Hunt.
