BANKS, Ore. -- With the Sunset Speedway Park in its final month of action there are only a handful of opportunities to see the action at the Banks bullring. Saturday September 8th will be the next race and will feature the Northwest Extreme Sprint Car Series, USRA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, and the PRHA Dwarf Cars.

The USRA Modifieds have hosted eight point events and have produced eight different winners. The win list has been graced by Clint Petty, Sonny Sayre, Doug Davenport, Mark Reser, Rob Ireland, Mark Wauge, Jeremy Martin, and Kenny Miller. Ken Schrader managed to win a non-point event on June 20th when the Wild Wild West Modified Shootout rolled into town. With only two USRA Modified race left in the season will there be a repeat winner or will the trend continue?

For Saturday’s action the front gates open up at 3:30 with racing scheduled to start at 6:00. Admission is the following prices: Adults are $13, Seniors $10, Children (6-12) $5, Children (5 and Under) FREE, and Family Pack (2 Adults and 2 Children) $30.

The Sunset Speedway Park is located just west of the Portland metro area in Banks on the Sunset Highway.
