Grays Harbor Mid-Season Championship checkers go to Lenz

ELMA, Wash. -- Saturday’s Firework Spectacular and Mid-Season Championship was a huge success at Grays Harbor Raceway. Fans were treated to some great racing as well as an amazing fireworks show. All five classes were in action which was the 360 Sprints, USRA Modifieds, USAC Ford Focus Midgets and Hobby Stocks.

It was a night full of heartbreaks for leaders Craig Moore of Seabeck and Scott Miller of Shelton in the USRA Modifieds, both breaking down in the feature. But Scott Lenz of Shady Cove, Ore., brought the win home for car owner Ron Martin.

NOTE: At the time of this writing, all results are under review due to an electronic timing system malfunction. Once they have been reviewed thoroughly and everything is corrected., full results will be published.

The Grays Harbor Raceway returns to action on Saturday, July 14, with the return of the DirtCar Super Late Models. Also on hand will be the USRA Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Hornets while Saturday’s event will be Pepsi Sampling Night and adults that come up to the ticket window with a can of AMP Energy they will receive $3.00 but off of an adult admission only.
