Willamette Speedway loses June 23 to wet weather

LEBANON, Ore. -- The Willamette Speedway regrets to announce that the June 23 event has been cancelled due to the weather which has disallowed any action to take place for Saturday night.

A full card events is scheduled for next weekend beginning with the season opener for the Kart program on Friday, June 29. To close out the month on Saturday, June 30, the DirtCar Super Late Models will return along with the USRA Modifieds, Sportsman, Classic Sportsmans and Mini Trucks.

The Willamette Speedway has operated since the 1960’s and has been regarded as the “Late Model Capital of the Northwest” for many years and is anxious to host fans with the vast upgrades and improvements done over the 2011-12 winter.

The venue will host the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series and the American Sprint Car Series-National Tour along with weekly action comprising of DirtCar Late Models, USRA Modifieds, Sportsmans, Classics and Mini Trucks.
