Correction: “Alternative” Modified rules in place for July 12 (not July 6)

The regular Musco USRA Modified rules will be enforced next Wednesday, July 6.

It was previously posted that on July 6 the Modifieds will run under the USRA’s “alternative” rules for the class. The “alternative” rules package will be in place for the Tuesday, July 12, event as part of the 15th Annual Great American Stock Car Shootout.

Regular rules will be used for the class on Monday, July 11, at the two-day event.

The Modifieds will race for $700 to win on Monday while the winner of the “alternative” Modifieds on Tuesday will walk away with $1,000 regardless of car count.

Except for drivers utilizing the CT525 crate engine, “alternative” rules stipulate that only flat tappet 23-degree steel-headed engines are permitted (no raised runner heads and no rollers) and spoilers will not be allowed.
