The first Meet the Drivers Night of the 2021 season was held at the Vado Speedway Park on Saturday. Even under the threat of rain, fans and drivers alike turned out for a great night at the track.

Vincent Prigone and Daniel Sanchez sat on the front row for the Medieval USRA Stock Car main, but after Sanchez led the opening lap, fourth-starting Jonathan Burton took command and dominated the event for his first win at Vado.

Behind Burton, Josh Reynolds, Gary Kerr Jr., Garrett Stearns and Sanchez put on a great race for the runner-up spot but nobody was catching Burton as he was the class of the field out front.

Reynolds tried on several restarts, but Burton was up to the challenge and raced off with the win.

Reynolds ran second with Kerr racing from ninth to third ahead of Stearns and Sanchez.

The Vado Speedway Park will be back in action next Saturday, July 31, with our second Meet the Drivers Night of the season. Fans will be invited onto the front stretch at intermission to meet and greet their favorite racers.

Action will feature USRA Modifieds and USRA B-Mods plus Legends, Super Trucks and Claimers. Pits open at 4 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 5.
