There’s racin’ in Mason City on Sunday


Mother Nature is smiling on the Mason City Motor Speedway and the green light is on for Sunday’s Joel Showalter Memorial presented by Window World.

It's a beautiful day for racing at North Iowa’s Action Track and tonight's Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series show will feature USRA Modifieds, Medieval USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks and Outlaw Mini Mods.

Stock Cars will pay $2,000 to win, Modifieds and Hobby Stocks are each racing for $1,000 to win, the B-Mods feature winner will pocket $500 and the Outlaw Mini Mods go for a $300 top prize on Sunday, July 11.

Pit gates open 3 p.m.
Grandstand gates open 4 p.m.
Drivers meeting 5:20 p.m.
Hot laps 5:30 p.m.
Racing 6 p.m.

Seniors (62+) $12
Juniors (12-16) $12
Kids (11 & under) FREE
Pit pass (11+) $35
Youth pit pass (6-10) $25
Kids (5 & under) pit pass FREE

The Mason City Motor Speedway is a 1/3-mile clay oval located 5.1 miles east of I-35 at exit 194 on SR 122 (at the North Iowa Fairgrounds).
