Fireworks Spectacular Friday at Sports Park Raceway


The Sports Park Raceway driven by Kemna Auto of Fort Dodge is back in action this Friday night, July 2, with the Fort Dodge area’s biggest fireworks display set to cap off a huge night of racing at the popular racing complex.

Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series action in the Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks and Tuners are all on the racing card for Friday’s Fourth of July Spectacular presented by On The Go Lock & Key.

The pits open at 4 p.m. with grandstands opening at 5 followed by hot laps at 7 and racing at 7:30. Get there early for the best seat in the house for the racing action and fireworks display after the final checkered flag waves after dark. Admission is free after the races are complete.

USRA Modifieds and Medieval USRA Stock Cars will be battling for $700 to win while USRA B-Mods and Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks are gunning for a $500 top prize. USRA Tuners round out the five-division program.

General admission (14+) is $12 while seniors (62+)  and military get in for just $8. Youth (7-13) are $5 and kids under 7 get in for free. Pit passes are $30 for those 15 and older or $25 for those under 15.

The Sports Park Raceway is a half-mile semi-banked dirt oval located 0.9 mile north of US 20 on US 169, then 0.5 mile east on 230th in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
