Vado Speedway Park once again adjusts schedule

Unfortunately, with no changes to the mass gathering restrictions in place for the state of New Mexico due to COVID-19, officials at the Vado Speedway Park is forced to remove all events through the month of September.

All events scheduled for September have been cancelled and track management will revisit the remaining schedule over the next several weeks to determine the best course of action as we are still very active in trying to work with state government on a reopening plan.

"We were sure hoping that the New Mexico Governor’s office would have been willing to work with us on reopening, but unfortunately our safe reopening plan that we have submitted—and our numerous requests to discuss our plan—have not been answered and therefore we are still in a holding pattern as to when we will be able to hold events at the track," said Vado Speedway Park General Manager Chris Stepan. "As soon as we are given the green light, we plan to get open as soon as we can and we have already had discussions of adding events throughout the winter months so that racers and fans are able to enjoy what we have to offer."
