Trio of contenders eye Heartland Modified Tour title

WINSTON, Mo. (Oct. 15, 2025)—The USRA Heartland Modified Tour presented by Real Racing Wheels storms into the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo., this Friday and Saturday for the inaugural Fall Harvest to close out a fierce 2025 season with a three-way title fight that has gripped the tour for months.

With only two features left on the schedule, Bobby Williams of Hermitage, Brandon Givens of Wichit, Kan., and St. Joseph's Shadren Turner are locked in a battle where every position on track could decide the championship.

What began as an underdog story has turned into a season-long surge for  Williams, who graduated from USRA B-Mod racing to the USRA Modified ranks this year, and now finds himself on the brink of a title.

“It has been a long season with lots of traveling and many ups and downs. Going from the B-Mod class to A-Mods has been a huge adjustment but I feel like this year we have made progress and learned a lot. We have had great support this year with great sponsors and family to back us up,” Williams said.

"At the beginning of the season our team was not expecting to be in the running for the points championship, but we are going to give it everything we have and finish it out strong."

Givens, who broke through for his first Heartland Modified Tour win earlier this summer, enters the weekend without hesitation and with momentum on his side.

“I'm excited to get to race for a championship at I-35. It's one of the tracks I like the most on the HMT schedule. I was kind of getting frustrated before the win at Nevada (Speedway). Seems like we were always close and couldn't get it done. But when I look back at the season overall, we have run pretty well. There are a couple of races I'd like to have back, but the only race that matters now is this weekend. We have definitely had a lot of fun this year,” Givens stated.

Never one to back down from a high-pressure moment, and another graduate from the USRA B-Mod ranks,  Turner returns to familiar territory at I-35 Speedway with confidence and determination.

“This season has not come without its challenges. But when I step back I can definitely say that I am proud of what we have accomplished in our first full season of A-Mod racing," Turner said. "We’ve had our share of downs, but we’ve also had our fair share of ups to be confident about.

"To have a shot at the Heartland Modified Tour championship means a lot to us. Going to a place like I-35 that I’m very familiar with definitely doesn’t hurt either. We’re looking forward to ending the year strong no matter how the points shake out! I’m just thankful for another opportunity to go do what I love most.”

I-35 Speedway has produced some intense racing for the Heartland Modified Tour. With just two shows left, the pressure has doubled and the stage is set for a dramatic season finale. With the championship on the line and three contenders separated by just 25 points, even one caution, one restart, or one late-race slide-job could swing the entire season.

The final checkered flag of 2025 will wave this weekend in Winston, and when the dust settles, one driver will emerge as the new USRA Heartland Modified Tour champion.

Race fans who can’t make it to the track won’t have to miss the thrilling conclusion of the USRA Heartland Modified Tour presented by Real Racing Wheels. Every lap streams live on www.racindirt.tv from I-35 Speedway, where the epic points battle comes to a close in one of the season’s most intense finales.

Adding to the excitement, the RacinDirt crew will be on site capturing behind-the-scenes action for their wildly popular Dirt Life series, giving fans an exclusive look at the personalities, pressure and passion fueling this unforgettable weekend.
