Grigsby perfect in Cajun Classic qualifying

VIVIAN, La. (Oct. 3, 2025)—The 21st Annual Cajun Classic at Ark-La-Tex Speedway kicked off the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series with intense competition in the USRA Limited Mod and Sunoco USRA Factory Stock divisions, showcasing top drivers from Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.
The night featured a series of heat races with Derick Grigsby of Marshall, Texas, taking the checkered flag in both of his USRA Limited Mod qualifiers. Other winners included Stephen Guidry of Marksville and Rusdton's Mark Underwood Jr.
In Sunoco USRA Factory Stock action, heat race victories in the first set went to Justin Whitehead of Texarkana, Texas; Logan Hughes of Waskom, Texas; T.J. Evans of Gladwater, Texas; Dalton Faulkner of Cut and Shoot, Texas; Mark Underwood Jr. of Ruston; Cody Chamberlain of Jacksonville, Texas; and Jace Reid of Nashville, Ark.
The second set of heat race wins were snagged by Ralo Pilkington of Marshall, Texas; Oakdale's Taten Perkins; Logan Gordon of West Monroe; Ryan Powers of Fort Worth, Texas; Travis Hudnall of Liberty, Texas; Josh Martin of Colfa; and Bo Perry of Bossier City.
The Cajun Classic continues Saturday with last-chance qualifying races and championship features.
