Creek County Speedway unleashes 2025 schedule
Gearing up for the 2025 season, Ward Worthy Promotions has released the tentative 2025 lineup of events for Creek County Speedway which includes 44 nights of racing featuring 25 nights of season point-paying events.
Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series classes will include USRA Modifieds and USRA Tuners with a rotation of 305 Sprints, Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, Jr. Mini Stocks and Dwarf Cars.
Three memorial weekends will be held during the 2025 season, and free admission will be worked into the various nights designated for towns and cities around northeast Oklahoma, as well as first responders and military that include free admission into the grandstands.
The first one of the 2025 lineup will be on Saturday, March 22, with Kellyville Night at the Creek County Speedway. The first night dedicated to first responders is Law Enforcement Night on Saturday, May 24.
“We’re excited for the challenge this season and tried to provide a schedule that gives our fans some variety, be more involved in the community, as well as deliver a solid base for our weekly divisions to run for a title,” stated General Manager Matt Ward.
Asked about the divisions and possible changes, Ward explained, “We need to get through this year before we make any changes. Making big changes to rule now would just cost people money and create a headache, so the plan for 2025 is to simply enforce what is there, take notes on what needs to be changed, and if so make sure we are giving teams enough notice so they are not scrambling going into 2026.”
Operating under Ward Worthy Promotions, the endeavor will include Matt's wife, Ashleigh Ward, who headed timing and scoring during Ward's time with the ASCS, and headed that position at Tulsa Expo Raceway. They are also partners in the promotion of the Pete Frazier Memorial with Kristy McDougal.
The Wards plan to bring a points fund back to the weekly classes, as well as holding an end-of-year awards banquet to recognize the teams who help make Creek County Speedway one of the top weekly programs in the state.
Continuing work on improving the track, Ward stated that the biggest issues being tackled right now involve safety and accessibility to various areas of the facility.
Chief among the improvements is the catch fence which is currently being constructed with several other projects that will be addressed throughout the season. Other areas that Ward is going after includes concessions, beer garden, bathrooms and working to make sure handrails are adequate and correct before being put into the stands.
