With the Larry Phillips Memorial a little over two weeks away, event officials are pleased to announce the major marketing partners for the event.

The show will take place at Monett Motor Speedway in Monett, Mo. on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Coopersville, Mich.-based Keyser Manufacturing jumped on early and secured title sponsorship naming rights for the event. Keyser's motto is simple: We can do that!

“This Memorial race is a great opportunity to support a family I have had the pleasure of knowing for many years,” said the comapny's founder, Scott Keyser. What a great way to honor Larry. I am proud to have Keyser Manufacturing associated and look forward to a successful event.”

This event will also feature two presenting sponsors as well.

Located in Van Buren, Ark., Schoenfeld Headers happily came aboard to ensure a successful show. Founded in 1974, this year marks the company's 50th in business.

“Larry ran, and was an ambassador for our product and a great friend to us,” commented Doug Schoenfeld. “He was one of the best racers in the entire country and was great for our business. There is no doubt he could have raced in NASCAR, he just never cared for their politics.”

Also a major part of this event is Bangor, Wis., company Wehrs Machine & Racing Products. Beginning as a kid with a dream, Chad Wehrs and his team have pushed to the forefront of the racing industry with innovation, quality parts and service.

“It's awesome that everyone involved is doing a race for one of my childhood heroes, Larry Phillips,” commented Wehrs. “We are excited to be part of the race.”

The USRA Heartland Modified Tour presented by Real Racing Wheels event is shaping up to be one of the largest in the country for Modified racing. The race will pay $7,575 to win and $575 to start. There is also an additional $7,575 in lap leader money up for grabs too.

“The response since we made the announcement has been unlike any event I've previously worked on,” said Heartland Modified Tour partner Trenton Berry. “Terry Phillips and Monett Motor Speedway have also been so helpful. The 18th of August cannot get here fast enough.”

The Larry Phillips Memorial will be carried live exclusively on RacinDirt for those unable to be at the track.
