USRA RHS Modifieds mix it up at USA Raceway this Saturday
El Paso’s Christy Georges will return to Tucson with hopes of sustaining a slight points lead, but most importantly she will be looking for a spot in victory lane.
TUCSON -- Nearly a month has passed since the stars of the USRA RHS Modifieds have taken to the Southwest Center of Speed but now the wait is over. With bright, sunny skies in the forecast and seasonable temperatures predicted, it will be the action on the track that heats up as the USRA RHS Modifieds roar to life at USA Raceway this Saturday night.
El Paso’s Christy Georges will return to Tucson with hopes of sustaining a slight points lead over Rick Spencer and Chad Ayers but most importantly she will be looking for a spot in victory lane. Georges tuned her skills around the fast 3/8 mile clay oval just a few weeks ago as she held off Sherman Barnett to win her first X-Mod feature of 2011.
The UniFirst Super Stocks will also get back to action after a brief break and it will be Barnett trying to put a stop to Terry Hill’s hold on UniFirst winners circle. Hill is two for two on the season and will be looking to make it three in a row this weekend.
The Factory Stocks will return after a stellar race last week that put “The Rocket” Ron Bishop back in victory lane. Bishop will return with a huge field of potential winners as he looks for his second win of the year.
The USRA RHS Modifieds, UniFirst Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, Hornets and Dwarf Cars will kick off a full Saturday night of racing action when general admission tickets go on sale at 4 p.m. for only $12, racing will begin promptly at 6:45 p.m. Suite Access Passes will allow race fans the opportunity to enjoy the races from USA Raceway’s VIP Suite. Enjoy the races in luxury for only $25!
