Fellers honored at Midway Speedway banquet

LEBANON, Mo. - With over 170 people in attendance, the Midway Speedway held its fifth championship banquet with awards going to the top 10 in points, along with the Rookie of the Year, Best Appearing Car and Sportsmanship Awards.

The honors in the USRA Modifieds went to 2009 track champion Donnie Fellers of Wheatland, Sam Petty of Niangua, Justin Neuman of Crocker, Jamie Ragland of Lebanon, Kris Jackson of Lebanon, Rusty Dukes of Fair Grove, Tony Moore of Lebanon, Colson Kirk of Urbana, Eric Hudson of Rolla and Danny Cross of Lebanon.

For Fellers it was a heartfelt speech as he thanked his wife and family and truly spoke from the heart about the racing family.

It was his first track championship in many seasons and the veteran driver truly was enjoying the honors.

Marvin Jugins of Extreme Racing Collectibles in Buffalo sponsored the Best Appearing Car Award which went to Kris Jackson.

A special award went to Craig Myers at C&S Towing for all his efforts at the track each week and all five seasons.

Twenty-two drivers were eligible for the trip to Las Vegas giveaway for perfect attendance this season. Sam Petty won the honors from the drawing while several area sponsors were presented before the crowd.
