Points battles heating up at Midway Speedway

LEBANON, Mo. - The season-long chase for the 2009 championships at the Midway Speedway will swing back into full force Friday night, July 17, along with the second pit stop competition paying $100 to the winner.

Racing action will feature the USRA Modifieds, Factory Stocks, B-Mods, Late Model Sportsmans and Pure Stocks.

During the last pit stop competition, the team of Josh Woody, tire changer Justin Neuman and jackman David Hendrix blistered the field and set a new track record with a time of 46 seconds. This included one lap around the track, stopping in the pit lane, getting a right rear tire changed and racing out to the cone just before turn 1.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 and racing at 8.
