Springfield Raceway ready to start 2021 championship chase


The Springfield Raceway will be ready to begin the championship chase this Saturday, April 3, with racing action to begin at 6:30 p.m. featuring USRA B-Mods competing for track, regional and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Multi-time track champion Jackie Dalton of Carthage, Mo., will look to defend his title once again against a tough field of USRA B-Mod competitors. Action will also feature Modifieds, Midwest Modz, Pure Stocks, Legends and Mini Lates.

Drivers are ready to display the new looks of their cars to excite the crowd at the track that never seems to disappoint on the high-banked dirt oval.

The pit gates open at 3 p.m. while hot laps begin around 5:50 with racing to follow. Draw cutoff for the drivers will be around 5:45.

Grandstand gates will open at 5 with adult admission is only $15 while kids are only $2. Children 5 and under are free.
