Lucas Oil Speedway seeking National Anthem singers, car clubs, vendors for 2021 season

With the Lucas Oil Speedway 2021 season only five weeks away, there are several options for the public to become involved in the festivities throughout the year.

Those include National Anthem singers for the opening ceremonies, plus car clubs or motorcycle groups and vendors for the popular Midway.

If you have a great voice or know someone who does, the speedway is looking for applicants for National Anthem singers. Those interested can submit a demo recording to Lucas Oil Speedway administrative assistant Lisa Lorton by email at lisa@lucasoilspeedway.com.

“Our opening ceremonies are a great tradition and proper way to kick off the night’s racing program with the National Anthem the centerpiece of that experience,” General Manager Danny Lorton said.

Car clubs or motorcycle groups also can set up an outing at the speedway and show off their vehicles on the Midway. Those interested should reach out to Lisa Lorton by email or by calling (417) 282-5984 to explore dates on the Midway.

Lucas Oil Speedway will publicize the club's appearance in pre-race press releases the week of the event. Clubs and their members need to arrive at the speedway by 3 p.m. of race day as a group to set up on the midway, behind the main grandstands.

Grandstands will open at 4 p.m. for race fans to view the cars and mingle with club members until the racing program begins at 7:05 p.m.

Meanwhile, non-food and non-drink vendor space is available on the Midway where businesses can display and sell their products. Booth spaces are available in 10 x 10 foot, 10 x 20 and 10 x 30 sizes, with or without electric. There are openings for one-day shows, plus two-day and three-day special events. Prices start at $150 for Big Adventure Weekly Racing Series events.

"The vendor spaces are a great way to be a part of the race-night experience and market your products to race fans," Lorton said. "Now is the time to reserve a space, particularly if you have a certain race-date or event in mind.”

Vendor applications can be found on the speedway’s website. For more information, fill out the vendor application or call the speedway office at (417) 282-5984.

Lucas Oil Speedway's Open Test & Tune is set for March 27. The Big Adventure Weekly Racing Series Spring Opener Presented by Benne Media is set for April 3 with the Missouri Metal Buildings ULMA Late Models in the spotlight with a $1,000-to-win main event sponsored by HICKAMO Country Store.
