A sunny and breezy day Friday at Rapid Speedway saw Todd Uhl of Sheldon celebrate his trip back to victory lane in the Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks with a dance.

Week one winner Brady Klaassen took the early lead from the pole position with Uhl right behind before taking the lead on lap 4 and taking the win.

“It’s been a long time coming for this win, we’ve had some bad luck the last couple years and it feels good to get one,” said Uhl.

Klaassen finished second followed by Dawson DeBoer, Thomas Kracht and Colter Deutsch, who came from the 18th starting position to finish with top-5 honors.

Heat race wins went to DeBoer, Klaassen, Kracht and Marty Halouska. Dustin Gulbrandson and Tracy Halouska won the "B" features.

It was an emotional win for Jackson Mulder in the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods as the young driver from Doon picked up his first career win at Rapid Speedway.

Mulder battled side by side throughout the race with Tyler Tesch of Lennox, S.D., with Mulder on the top of the raceway and Tesch on the bottom.

The two finished side by side at the line with Mulder edging him out by the front bumper.

“I just kept hitting my marks and knew it was in God’s hands,” Mulder said.

Third place went to Tyler Johnson, with Brock Hess and Kevin Joachim rounding out the top 5.

Heat race wins went to Joachim, Mitch Van Engen and Derek Vanveldhuzien.

Justin Regnerus has yet to surrender a lap to any other driver at Rapid Speedway, as he once again took his front row starting spot and led wire to wire in the American Racer USRA Stock Car feature.

Last week he cruised to an easy win, but this week was a little tougher as he was challenged early by Darrin Korthals before a flat tire caused him to go to the work area and then held off a late-race charge from Rich Gregoire to take home his second win in as many weeks.

“Rich was definitely faster than me, but I was able to block the bottom and knew he would have to move me if he wanted to get by,” Regnerus revealed.

Gregoire finished second ahead of Colby Klaassen who charged from 11th. Eric Gaul and Spenser Kalass rounded out the top 5.

Regnerus, Klaassen and Tommy Kracht took home the heat race wins.
