Mothers admitted free this Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway

Early season points chases in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series resume on Saturday night, May 11, at the Lucas Oil Speedway as NMI/VMG Marketing Group and Wild Animal Safari team up to present the USRA Modifieds running a special 25-lap, $1,000-to-win main event.

Out-Pace USRA B-Mods are also on the program along with Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks.

To commemorate Mother's Day, all moms will be admitted free, courtesy of NMI/VMG Marketing Group.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:05.

"Thanks to NMI/VMG Marketing Group, we're proud to welcome all the Mothers out there for a free night at the speedway," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "We're coming off a terrific weekend of racing at the Open Wheel Showdown and look forward to resuming what's been an outstanding season in our four weekly classes so far."

In the headline division this week, Jon Sheets will look to extend an eight-point lead over fellow Nevada driver Chase Domer in the USRA Modifieds.

Robbie Reed of Mexico sits in third just 17 behind Sheets after those two battled back and forth for the feature win on April 27, with Sheets prevailing.

Defending Out-Pace USRA B-Mod track champion J.C. Morton of Springfield clings to an eight-point lead over reigning Out-Pace USRA B-Mod National Champion Kris Jackson of Lebanon.

Andy Bryant of Fort Scott, Kan., is third, 40 points behind Morton.
