Fans get a tremendous opportunity to experience a night of racing at Lucas Oil Speedway at a discount this Saturday when Round 3 of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series fires up.

It will be $5 Night presented by KY3 as tickets for all adults, seniors and youth are $5. Kids 5 and under are free as always. A full program is scheduled with action in all four divisions.

"Our $5 Night always brings out a big crowd, so come on out and enjoy an evening of great racing," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:05.

While it's still early in the season, hot points battles already are shaping up in each of the four divisions. There's only been one repeat feature winner—J.C. Morton of Springfield in the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods.

Morton leads the standings by 25 points over Lebanon's Kris Jackson and 31 over Brian McGowen of Pittsburg, Kan.

In the USRA Modifieds, Chase Domer has a one-point lead over fellow Nevada resident Jon Sheets with Jason Pursley of Hermitage 11 behind.

Win a chance to feel the speed: Fans who have wondered what it would be like to experience the thrill of speeding around Lucas Oil Speedway could get that opportunity to buckle up and find out, in the Lucas Oil Two-Seater Late Model.

Raffle tickets will be sold during the evening with the winning ticket drawn just prior to intermission. Tickets will be sold for $2 each, six for $10 or 12 for $20. Fans must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton, a former dirt Late Model driver, will be behind the wheel to give the ride. He hopes to provide this opportunity several times throughout the season.

"This is a great opportunity for a fan to get a feel of what it's like to make laps around the Diamond of Dirt tracks," Lorton said.
