Deer Creek Speedway honors drivers January 12

The 2018 Deer Creek Speedway awards banquet will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at the Rochester International Event Center located at 7333 Airport View Drive SW in Rochester, Minn., near the Rochester International Airport.

The festivities will kick off with a social hour beginning at 5 p.m. with the meal to follow at 6. The meal will consist of grilled chicken with chef’s choice sauce, burgundy peppercorn steak with demi glaze, a hand tossed caesar salad with garlic mashed potatoes, green beans along with assorted bars and cookies.

The awards portion of the evening will follow the meal at 7 p.m. The top five drivers in each of the five divisions will receive trophies with the top ten receiving point fund checks from their respective sanctioning bodies. Also the “King of the Creek” presented by A&A Electric and Underground will be crowned. Also the youngsters in the Slingshots will be presented with their awards and trophies also.

There will be five first-time track champions crowned this year including Nate Wasmund in the USRA Modifieds and Kadden Kath in Out-Pace USRA B-Mods.

After the awards ceremony, stick around for entertainment from 9 to midnight.
