Mother Nature wins Oct. 6 at I-35 Speedway

The battle between autumn and summer has consumed racing at I-35 Speedway on Oct. 6.

Originally scheduled this weekend for the 5th Annual Summit USRA Nationals, the decision was made on Monday to move the event to Oct. 18-20 with a practice on Wednesday Oct. 17.

Weather permitting, the track planned a weekly race for tonight but the weather forecasters were correct. The wet cold weather arrived overnight forcing today's cancellation.

Make plans to be at I-35 Speedway next Saturday, Oct. 13, for  weekly racing including the USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods plus Grand Nationals, Pure Stocks, Sport Compacts and E Mods.

Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points will be awarded.

Racing will start at 7 p.m.

Grandstand tickets are $12 with discounts for seniors and military personnel. Youth ages 18 and under are free.
