Jackson grabs Lebanon Midway Fall Series opener

Current Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points leader Kris Jackson of Lebanon grabbed the top spot from polesitter Dillion McCowan and never looked back in taking the opening Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature Satruday night for the Lebanon Midway Speedway's Fall Series.

With Jackson opening the advantage, the race for the runner-up spot was strong early between 2018 track champion Sam Petty and 2017 track champion Tyler Brown. Petty pulled away past the mid-race point but didn't have anything for the leader.

Brian Myers secured a strong fourth-place finish with Tyler Knudtson rounding out the top five.

Qualifying heats for the evening went to McCowan and Jackson as the redraw saw the field starting heads-up from the qualifying heat races.

Lebanon Midway Speedway will continue action by hosting the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods as well as a special USRA Modified event on Saturday, Sept. 22. Both divisions will award national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. as G3 Boats of Lebanon will be the nightly sponsor. Hot laps will start at 6:30 and racing action to begin at 7:30. Draw cut-off will be at 6:55 and action will also feature Street Stocks, Hornets, Midwest Modifieds and Pure Stocks.
