Donavon Flores won the Holley USRA Stock Car feature on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, N.M.

Anothr large field of competitors invaded the Southern New Mexico Speedway on Saturday for another exciting night of racing at the high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval in Las Cruces, N.M.

Coming from the outside of the sixth row, former USRA national champion Donavon Flores of Las Cruces picked up another win in the Holley USRA Stock Cars. Jed Smith of Las Cruces was second, with Pete Vargas of Las Cruces third and another former USRA titlist, Jason Josselyn of Alamogordo, grabbing the fourth spot. Fifth went to Anthony's Mark Smith.

In the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Mike Rosales of Las Cruces roared from eighth on the stating grid to collect his second feature win of the 2018 campaign. Nick Rivera of Las Cruces, who started 15th, earned runner-up honors with Mingo Jauregui of El Paso taking third. Sherman Barnett of El Paso and Justin Allen of Las Cruces were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Next Saturday, June 16, will see the return of the USRA Modifieds, along with the Holley USRA Stock Cars plus NMMRA 360 Non-Wing Sprint Cars, American Documents & Dent Works Super Trucks and Clayton Donnelly Roofing Claimers. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:45. General admission is $12 with kids ages 10 and under free. A family pack is $30 and admits two adults and two kids. Pit passes are $35.

The Southern New Mexico Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval located 11 miles west of Las Cruces at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds.
