Thunderstorms force cancellation at Lucas Oil Speedway

Lucas Oil Speedway's scheduled Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series program on Saturday night was cancelled after a heavy thunderstorm with rain and lightning, just before race time.

It was the second round of heavy rain on Saturday and that, plus the priority of safety for fans and drivers as a severe thunderstorm warning was issued, prompted the decision to call things off.

"We look forward to seeing everyone next week for three big days of the Show-Me 100," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said.

The 26th annual Show-Me 100 presented by ProtecttheHarvest.com, featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and MLRA Late Models plus USRA Modifieds, is set for Thursday through Saturday.
