Trevor Latham won the USRA Modified main event at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., on Saturday, May 12.

It was back to Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series for USRA Modifieds and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods this past Saturday night at the mighty Tri-State Speedway. Upper 80-degree temperatures greeted the fans as they arrived at the track.

At the driver’s request, the start time was moved later by one hour due to the setting sun blinding them as they raced down the back-stretch into turn three.

Until further notice, the later start time will be the scheduled starting time. Pit gates will open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands will open at 6 with hot laps scheduled for 7:30.

The second main event of the evening was for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods where Brandon Wilson of Fort Smith, Ark., crossed the finish line first ahead of Dean Green of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Chad Summerford of Centerton, Ark.

The USRA Modifieds took to the high banks last for their feature. Trevor Latham of Rogers, Ark., crossed the line first, picking up where he left off after last year’s championship. Jeremy Vaughn of Pocola took home second place and Kyle Ledford of Greenwood, Ark., third place.
