Lake Road Warehouse presents Childhood Cancer Awareness Night Saturday at I-35 Speedway


Great racing action returns to I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo., this Saturday, Sept. 16, with Lake Road Warehouse and Childhood Cancer Awareness Night.

It's a battle of the shacks as Kayce in the pit shack and Tammy in the beer shack do battle raising money for their favorite charities. Tammy’s charity is St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Kayce’s is Children’s Mercy Hospital. They will donate all of their tips to these great organizations to help children and their families.

There will be a balloon release for opening ceremonies as the I-35 Speedway shows its support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Balloons will be available at the grandstand gate while supplies last. Please wear your cancer awareness or survivor shirt to the track this Saturday night as we all know someone that has been affected.

Intermission will see remote control car racing on the front straight as we will draw names for kids ages 8 to 15 to compete. Also, we will have a drawing for some lucky kid to win a remote control race car ready to go donated by Chris and Carl Flower. Ten cars will be available for kids to race so sign up at the grandstand gate as you enter and we will draw before opening ceremonies to see who will race.

Racing action this includes USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Grand Nationals, Pure Stocks, E-Modifieds, Sport Compacts and Vintage Racers for your entertainment. Superior drivers and a smooth racing surface equal a great night of racing action and fun.

Remember to check out Kayce’s World Famous Walking Tacos at the Pit Shack, Main Concessions will be ready and delicious beer iced down and cold, souvenirs displayed , funnel cakes sweet and tasty with Trackside Bar & Grill serving up your favorites before, during and after the races for your dining convenience.
