Purse beefed up for Northwest Missouri State Fair

The Northwest Missouri State Fair is always looking to make the races bigger and better.

But how can you make a car count of 107 cars in 2016 bigger?

By beefing up the payouts even more in the middle.

The payout to win didn't change much for 2017, but second through 20th is much better in all classes. Bonus money will still be paid out for lap leaders, heat winners and hard chargers, plus a fan bonus.

Bonus payouts are being adjusted and refigured so more bonuses can be given out with possibly a big moment of the race for each feature. It could be a huge pass, avoiding a wreck or even a roll-over.

There are thousands of dollars being paid out. If a driver could win his or her heat race, lead every lap of the feature and win, he or she could go home with a pocket full of money.

Holley USRA Stock Cars are racing for over $1,000 in bonuses while USRA Modifieds are over $1,700. And the class running both nights--Out-Pace USRA B-Mods--is nearly $2,350.

Don't forget, these are USRA-sanctioned races this year, so there could be new names and cars trying to get valueable national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

It's becoming on of the biggest two-day races in the midwest and it's only $10 each night:at the 101st Northwest Missouri State Fair on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 3-4, at the Bethany Fairgrounds Speedway in Bethany, Mo.
