Improvements keep coming at I-35 Speedway

The improvements keep on coming to I-35 Speedway.

In the last year, the pit area has been expanded, new billboards installed for new sponsors, a lighted sign has been added along Interstate 35, bleachers were added to the grandstands and lights were recently added to the new portion of the pits making it seem as if the sun has not set.

We are now pleased to announce the next addition: a second tier to the pit catwalk in preparation for this year's USRA Nationals, Oct. 12-14.

Poles were set on Aug. 3 as construction has begun for this next I-35 Speedway addition. The second tier of the catwalk will provide more space for those in the pits to capture the on-track action. Located outside turns 3 and 4, the catwalk provides a spectacular view of the drivers and their cars in competition.

Owners Mike and Kyle Johnson have continually improved this racing facility since taking possession in 2008. Besides the recent improvements, the picnic area, bring-your-own-seating and Trackside Bar & Grill have been added in recent years. Area residents and race fans have taken notice of the improvements.

I-35 Speedway looks forward to showcasing these improvements when the track in Winston, Mo., hosts the 4th Annual USRA Nationals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12-14.
