After a thrilling week of racing last Saturday, the championship season continues this Saturday, June 17, for Father’s Day weekend action on KIX 105.7 FM Radio Race Night at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS). Race fans and drivers are still abuzz about last week’s action, which featured some of the best racing witnessed at CMS in recent memory.

USRA Modifieds and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods plus Street Stocks, Midwest Mod-Lites and Pure Stocks will compete throughout the night in preliminary action and main events. Joslin’s Jewelry will make it a special night for Dads by giving away several men’s watches during the intermission break. Joslin’s Jewelry is located on the corner of 95th and Antioch in beautiful Overland Park, Kan. Joslin’s family owned-jewelry store was established in 1977 and has been in Overland Park for 30 years. Additional information may be found on their website at www.joslinsjewelry.com.

If last weekend was any indication of the level of dirt track entertainment witnessed last week, then fans are in for another weekend of exciting competition for the USRA Modifieds leading up to the $5,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start 12th Annual Tom Wilson Memorial BBQ Bowl. Odessa driver Jim Moody currently leads defending champion Kevin Blackburn of Fulton in the current standings. Blackburn out-dueled Moody for the win last weekend, giving him his third triumph of the year. Terry Schultz of Sedalia has been strong throughout the early season and sits third with four top-five finishes.

Last weekend, Jake Richards of Lansing, Kan., returned to victory lane for his third win of the year. Defending Out-Pace USRA B-Mod champion, Jacob Ebert of Oak Grove leads the rankings with Cody Frazon sitting in second with four top-five finishes. Russel Niehoff of Lockwood is in the third spot after leading the early season rankings.

Information for the upcoming 12th Annual Tom Wilson Memorial BBQ Bowl, including start times, admission, race purses, race formats, program flow for the events and much more is now located on the CMS website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net.
