For the third consecutive year, a highlight of Lucas Oil Speedway's postseason awards banquet this fall will be Lawless Harley-Davidson of Scott City awarding a new Harley-Davidson Roadster to a lucky driver.

Drivers in the top-10 of points at season's end in Lucas Oil Speedway's four Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series divisions will be entered into a raffle for the Roadster.

"My partner is a native Missourian. He grew up in the Springfield area and loves flat-track racing and he visits the track a lot," said Dan Ryan of Lawless Harley-Davidson. "We have a lot of local interest and we're big fans of the speedway.

"Race fans traditionally love their motorcycles," Ryan added. "We're looking at the relationship between us and Lucas Oil Speedway as a way to get our message out that we're launching a nationwide effort to buy (pre-owned) Harleys."

Ryan said it's part of the "Buy USA Program" that Lawless has launched.

"We're trying to get where people gather and let them know they don't have to be held hostage by their local dealer," Ryan said. "If you want to sell your bike, just call us and send us six pictures and we'll give you a quote. If you like it, we'll come get it. We'll make it real easy to exchange toys, so to speak."

The Lucas Oil Speedway banquet date will be announced later this season, along with the location and time. Points, prize money and contingency awards will be presented during the 2017 season celebration for drivers in the top-10 of the Pitts Homes USRA Modified, Out-Pace USRA B-Mod, Big O Tires Street Stock and Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Model divisions.

Drivers receive entries into the raffle for each feature win in the 2017 Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series up to and including the Season Championship Night on Aug. 26. Drivers also receive entries into the raffle based on their finishing position in top-10 in the final season points standings.

Example No. 1: Driver A wins three races, finishes sixth in points, and attends the banquet. Will receive 10 entries into the drawing - (three for wins, six for points and one for attending banquet).

Example No. 2: Driver B wins 10 races, finishes first in points, and attends the banquet. Will receive 12 entries into the drawing - (10 for wins, one for points and one for attending banquet).

The winning driver must be in attendance at the championship banquet to be eligible to win. No substitutions will be allowed. Each driver will receive one additional entry into the drawing upon check-in at the banquet.

"We're thrilled to have Lawless Harley-Davidson involved with our banquet in a big way once again," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. "They are a great partner of the speedway and dirt-track racing and I know our drivers are excited to have the opportunity to again win a new Harley."

At last year's banquet, Terry Schultz of Sedalia won a Harley Sportster.

"We're also proud to say that Lucas Oil helps us sponsor our Great River Freedom Rally every year," Ryan said. "That's always held the weekend after July 4th, so it's July 6-9 this year in the Cape Girardeau-Scott City area."
