Andy Bryant and Kevin Anderson shared space in victory lane Friday night at the Lakeside Speedway when the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and Holley USRA Stock Cars tackled the historic half-mile oval in Kansas City.

The defending Iron Man Challenge titlist and 2015 Out-Pace USRA B-Mod national champ, Bryant earned the pole position for the start of their main event and wired the field in a caution-free affair.

Mike Tanner trails Bryant in this year’s points chase, and finished second to the Fort Scott, Kan., racer in Friday’s 20-lapper. Mike Striegel was third, former Iron Man champ Trevor Hunt raced from 16th to fourth and Brad Smith rounded out the top five.

Andy Bryant won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature.

The Holley USRA Stock Car drivers delivered a thriller, as usual, and Kevin Anderson survived to take the win.

Defending track champion Brett Heeter held Anderson at bay for the first 11 laps until he was the reason for the first caution when his engine expired in a cloud of smoke.

Another caution occurred on lap 16 when Scotty Moore suffered a big crash while racing in the top five. Moore’s machine got turned toward the fence underneath the flagstand, and then barrel-rolled no less than six times down the front-stretch catch fence. Thankfully, he was able to walk away.

Anderson crossed the finish line first to pocket a $600 paycheck.

Steve Jackson was second, Jesse Brown claimed third, 11th-starting Tom Fogarty finished fourth and Nick Zinn wound up fifth.

Kevin Anderson won the Holley USRA Stock Car feature.

The Iron Man Challenge heads to the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo., on Saturday where the Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods will share the spotlight once again with the USMTS. The four-division card will be rounded out by E-Mods.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., grandstands open at 5 and the first heat race starts at 7:30. Tickets are $20, youth ages 12-16 are $10 and kids ages 11 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $35.
