Rapid Speedway to hold informational meeting

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa—On Monday, March 7, the Rapid Speedway staff and officials will host a meeting at the Pizza Ranch located at 205 S. Union St. in Rock Rapids at 7:30 p.m.

Among othr details, officials will go over transponder information and pit stalls.

The Rapid Speedway will be using transponders this season. Visit www.mylaps.com/en/products/x2-transponder-car/1622 to find everything you need and get registered. The red transponder will be compatible as well.

The 2016 Rapid Speedway schedule will have 19 weeks of racing this season capped off with the Rapid Speedway Nationals in September. Weekly racing will once again be highlighted by Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks plus Sportsmans. The track will race on Friday nights as usual and will have a Lyon County Fair race on Tuesday, July 19, and the Rapid Speedway Nationals on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16-17. Hot laps will start at 7 p.m. and the green flag drops at 7:30.
